Fig. 2 indicates the fluorite & bastnaesite recoveries within separate mineral flotation at pH 4–12 (the amount of SO is fixed at 80 mg/L). When the pH value falls between 6.71 and 12.0, the fluorite recovery rate is greater than 95 %. In terms of the bastnaesite recovery rate first increases and then drops as the pH value increases.

Currently, flotation is the most common physical beneficiation process to purify and recover valuable substances from solid matter [22,23]. It is also the most frequently used method to recover natural fluorine resources, fluorite [ 24, 25 ].
2 Flotation Processes of 4 types of associated fluorite. Just as is the case with almost ore processing and non-metal beneficiation, the concentrate fluorite is extracted by crushing, sieving, grinding, grading, flotation, filtration, drying, etc. How to realize the high-efficiency sorting of associated fluorite ore is a real problem in the ...
During the flotation process, the surface of fluorite and calcite is prone to partial dissolution, which makes the surface ions convert to each other. Moreover, the pH value of the slurry has a greater impact on the conversion of the two minerals. Therefore, the flotation separation of fluorite and calcite poses a great challenge.
